Given I have zero experience with the m1950 I just acquired, I’m confused on how the pump tube comes apart? Or if it comes apart on all m1950’s. Mine is the Coleman 1966 version, and dogged if I can see how it separates as shown in these photos. Folk tell me there may be a spare generator inside it, but I’m not willing to damage it to find out. Any help would be appreciated.

Grab little metal bent tab and grab tube/pump shaft and turn tab. That will get you inside the shaft to find spare parts. To get pump out of pump tube there are two knurled nuts that fit together really well and look like one, you can see em both in picture above, one on big tube, one on little tube.
If you can more specific about what part you can get apart??

The inner tube, the end with the pump lever on it.

Tab just screws counter clockwise from tube. I have never seen one stuck, but is possible. Heat would help.

Encouragement and one of those rubber lid grippers, and off it came,,, no worries. Empty though, bit of a bummer.

    Thank you again @Majicwrench
