    all,
    Thanks again Ross,
Given above graphs, my impression looks like CCS (in 1000s) has 3X-ish? the activity of CPL (in 100s)... CCS is a more active site at any rate?

I see what may be seasonal peaks. I'd only guess spring, early summer may also be a peak time (northern hemisphere, ie for most mortals).
I post having noticed the 10,000 members milestone. Congrats !
    thx omc

PS / TMI: Stats are not accurate long term due to major site changes (which will continue) and data purged and updated etc., but given that caveat, stats reflect, for short term, milestones and forum participation:

    Beat me to it @OMC.

I wonder if member 10,000 got a prize. Possibly an ex stove whanging competition item.

Great to see a good level of engagement. Stovies have generally been more willing to use the forums for off-topic subjects. That the site is a useful resource and pleasant places to visit is gratifying and something we should be proud of as a collective.

I blame the site owner, he started it all !!

CCS is probably the only website that I really do have great value for. If it were not for CCS, there might even be some of us who would then never leave our garden sheds and see daylight (even if its just the short trip from the shed to the house to turn on the pc and log in to CCS) !!

Greatly appreciate your efforts in providing this website; just wish I had found it years ago.

    Kind Regards,
    Mike

Do we have hits/views to compare with member stats.

It may be interesting for those of a curious nature to know how popular the site is generally.

Many new members have been lurkers for many years, perhaps a 'lurker' count. :)

This is a site with global participation. Today, globally, for all peoples it is "life interrupted" due to Coronavirus pandemic. We are all living it, we are all in this together. It changes everything (good time for journal entries), day to day life that words can not describe... beyond historic, beyond empty promises/assurances, beyond empty store shelves, and now empty streets & towns... everywhere! There's so much more to it.
Just 2 months ago globally, our uncertain future was 2050, globally that was a shared curiosity / anxiety. Today, it is our "future" but it's the uncertainty of 30 - 90 days from now, 12, 18 or 24 months from now. The many social vulnerabilities of so-called advanced societies are so quickly laid bare by one health crisis.
For certain this too shall pass but not before taking it's deadly toll on the world (to say nothing of economic interruption), impacting all peoples.

For this year of the rat, the Chinese adopted a new *wish, it is just for health (not fortune, abundance ).
*Bai du bu qin: may you be immune from 100 toxins. Hold your well being.

    Carry on Fellow Stovies,
13,000 member milestone has come at this surreal time.

    Carry on Fellow Stovies,
We've passed the 14,000 member milestone. The prev. entry was in March of 2020, as a deadly first wave of Covid was underway. The entire planet continues to be impacted. The challenge of a "2nd wave in the Fall" through winter (many predicted) is now well under way with far greater impact geographically. Be safe. A slogan for this 2020 shit show is a "WWW":
    Watch your distance
    Wear a mask &
    Wash your hands.

Hi Ken - put it in the site suggestions area as a reminder. I'm currently working on the notes for the next site update. Been meaning to do it for a while. I've an operation coming up soon which will have me with 2-3 months during my downtime to work with the developers. This should be less hassle than previous upgrades as we'll still be on the same underlying platform. A lot of the change will be to keep the site current with the latest platform, security & web standards but there will also be some improvements brought in as well.
