my mystery stove

    I bought this little gem off an antiques seller that was selling off his last inventory on a dutch auctioning site (a bit like ebay).
    It came without flame ring and there was a small gas leak at the bottom of the jet.
    Also, the soldering on one of the leg holders was partially broken.
    Other than that, it was in excellent order.
    Jürgen Breidenstein from the Stuga-Cabaña webshop supplied me with a new jet, a key for screwing it in, a new flame ring and a pricker needle for the jet.
    I soldered the leg holder back on properly and now I have one beautiful mystery stove in perfect working order.

    There is no lettering whatsoever to be found anywhere on the stove.

    Nice one! It looks like Optimus 45. Wonder who made it.

    That's what I was thinkin, an Opti 45 or a Primus 54. But, w/out the markings? No clue.

    DISCUS stove .. Love 'em ..oooooH SO Nice .
    Ive had a look at the ..Ermmm.. 20 odd different DISCUS stoves that are immediately accessible & non of them claim lineage .... LOOK ...straight /parallel knurling on the pump tube cap & air/pressure release ... I cant find the same pattern on my lovelies ..
    KEY:- Straight knurling on the precision threaded components .
    EXOTIC DISCUS paraffin stove ..... I'm dribbling :roll:

    Brass, 3 legs , discus , paraffin = MMMMMMMMMM

    So I think that means that at least you think that the 35 Euro I paid for this little gem was not too much?

    P.S. I don't think it was too much either.
