My new Optimus 45

    I just bought Optimus 45 stove. I think it is from the eighties but if you can confim it. It has engraved "Made in Sweden" on the bottom of the tank.
    With the stove came some leaflets. Maybe it might help.

    Hi Andrzej, welcome. A very nice Opt 45 you have gotten, my first classic brass stove. It is difficult to confirm the age of the stove as they had no date markings. Here is a post that might help.

    For me age isn't important. I bought it for cooking purposes while I'm trekking in Ethiopia (apparently parafine is easy obtainable there). Quite big thing but so beautiful that few extra grams doesn't matter.

    Looking at the paperwork I think it is older - 50's or 60's. There may be a printers date code on the paper. From memory with the green leaflet the last 2 digits are the year.
