    Hi Everyone.

So I'm clearing out my nan and grandads house.
My grandad used to work for Primus and Bacho years ago.

I have come across alot of primus bits there. Small stoves (attach to a small gas bottle) small lamps, few other bits and tons of spares.

I'm wondering if someone would be able to help me value them, possibly put me onto people who are interested in buying them or just any general advice would Be welcomed.
I'm not looking to make tons of money from it. I would like them to go to people that would appreciate them if they are any good to someone. Otherwise they will just end up in the local tip.

    Thanks

    Dan

    Bump.
    Thank you Daniel and welcome.
I applaud the motivation behind the post:
"...like them to go to people that would appreciate them if they are any good to someone. Otherwise they will just end up in the local tip.":thumbup:

I hope that something is underway re your inquiry.
I've been around here a few years and "I think" you came to the right place with the right message, well done.
    ---------------------------

Additionally, your... "My grandad used to work for Primus and Bacho years ago."
… ^^^^ is very interesting as well.
You are most certainly welcome and encouraged to comment further about:
any of grandad's Primus stoves & bits,
anything you might recall stove related work or play and or
where he worked maybe a part of global distribution / sales / service (SW England / not Sweden aye?). Condrup connection by chance?
    -----------------------------------

Stoves that attach to small gas bottles (proprietary bottles?) are interesting in their own right. For collectors that is indicative of a certain time and Primus-Sievert AB sub category.

    thanks again

He kept them in the garage for some reason. What reason I don't really know. But like I said lucky I went up there as my mum and dad were just going to throw them away. I've saved them and hope I can pass them onto people

I know he was a rep for Primus. I know he went to Sweden a fair few times and he was back and forward to London from Barry. I think he was a rep for Primus selling all over the country. He went to work for a caravan company after that.

His name was John Russell Frank Cripps. I know he spoke of a guy in Sweden called Soren Erikkson as well.

Re "...and hope I can pass them onto people"

    Yeah, I hope so too.

Above there is an alert to Spiritburner. He is site founder and known to dabble in all things stove bits.
Basecamp was also mentioned ("The Base Camp" now in Peterborough can be found on the web).
If you have a pile of stuff someone may want to see it / pickup in-person.
The 2 above are nowhere near Barry.
Members somewhat interested are a plenty. There is interest, something may work with @Harder D. Soerensen.
Someone seriously interested that can also get to your location is what he hope for,
… so, nothing in the works?
    thanks again.

I'm quite happy for people to come and visit me. Come and have a look.

I'm always willing to post anything to anyone
    Anywhere in the world.

I think its fate that I got up there and saved it all. And I think it's what my grandad would want. Pass on something he was so passionate about

    @Daniel Savage
Its a great thing youre doing here - and as you write - your grandad would rather have them stoves going to someone who will appreciate them and using them instead of just scrapping them. For that I tip my hat!
(The offer about help is still standing)

Definitely be reaching out to everyone thay has already commented or messaged me. Everyone who has made contact I will be sharing everything with.

Like I said I'm not out to make tons of money. If I could get a little bit so I can take the wife out for a coffee or some lunch then I woolf be happy.
All I care about is letting his legacy as we know him live on a little longer through stove lovers like I have found here
