That'll be a long trip for you, Steve.

I'd have suggested you share transport with Henry, but I wouldn't want to inflict that on anyone, least of all someone new here...

Hi, Unless Henry is aka Henrietta, I am sorry but I am unable to share transport, tent, food , certainly not beer! and she must bring her own stove! However, she will be allowed to do the dishes. Men rule OK (or we think we do, so far as her indoors lets us) Steve.

No, apart from his propensity to wear womens blouses, you wouldn't mistake Henry for a woman...

...unless you seriously needed to go to Specsavers, of course... ;)

So far, I'll be able to make it! :D/ (ofcourse, heaven could still fall on our heads... ;) ) So, I'd like to know wether there's a "theme" to this meeting, like there was last year's 111 record breaking thingy. I'd like to know what to bring 'see :content: .

    Regards all,

    Wim

Hi Wim. Bring everything, but make sure to leave a little room to take some extra home. If there is anything on e bay you want, this could be a good time as it could be delivered to to one of our homes and we could bring it to newark for you.
    Look forward to meeting you.

Hi Nigel, there's to many rustbuckets & unfinished projects in my accumulation, can't bring all of them, can I? But if there's a "theme" going on, I'd like to participate, just to "up" the numbers a bit :D/ .
BTW, if anyone living in or near Manchester is going to Newark, they could do me a favor! There's a table lamp a "good friend" forgot to bring over to Belgium you see ;) .

    All the best,

    Wim

I am envying all of you! Unless things change dramatically, I shan't get back to England for Newark. Rosemary and I were looking forward to it. I'll await the photographs!

    Regards, Mike.

Well, the deed is done, I've booked my ferry tickets for next weekend! If all goes like planned, I'll get to Newark sometime friday afternoon. (will there be a marching band or some such to welcome me? ). I guess there is no record breaking of sorts going on this year so I'll leave the 11 and 111 at home. At least the grass will not be damaged then [-X  . See you there!

    All the best,

    Wim

    Hi Wim.
No band im afraid, just lots of tents and a few caravans. We will have the kettle on if that would help. I would bring a 111 with you as you never know what will happen. Look forward to meeting you.

We fly back to UK tomorrow & then get ready for Newark - not sure if we'll be there Thursday night or Friday morning.

Looking forward to it too - always a good, chilled, weekend.

    Hi Nigel,
:-k No band, what a disapointment!
I'll test the 111 this week (haven't tried it yet) and also bring the 11 as indeed, one never knows! (I was going to bring petrol stoves only but will make an exception for these two O:) ;) )

    See you there,

    all the best,

    Wim

    I'll be doing a quick overnighter Saturday-Sunday.

Si, do you by any chance have a Q99 or a MilSpec lantern generator that you might be financially persuaded to part with? I have a Quicklite and a MilSpec languishing for lack of generators and I reckon it would be fun to try and get one of them running.

Okay, I'll bring my 242 instead. I only have room for one lantern and I dont want to bring a fettler unless I know I can get the bits to get it working.
