Previous owner said he lived by the factory in Norway. Hovik Verk 210, made under license for Primus. Had been fettled before sold to me. Meths still in the container, so used some to prime the stove with. Some yellow to start, better flame after running 10 minutes, maybe old coating in fount or burner carboned some. Nice nickel sticker on the very clean tin. Incorrect spanner. Chained travel cap. Pricker pack has Hovik Verk on it, prickers are Primus. I've been wanting the Standard, but this will have to do.

A real beauty, Duane. I really like the nickel stoves.

    I'm on the way....
A fine example, worthy of anyones front room rather than the shed.

Thank you guys, stove goes in the garage for now, tin is too nice to put out there. Notice the depression in the priming cup to hold that last bit of meths. Really neat meths container, really think the cap is neat.

Looks like the priming cup is much larger than would be normal for a burner that size. Am I seeing things?

Yes, that priming cup doesn't look like the right one.

@hikerduane Isn't that depression for a lighting tube?

The spirit cup is the correct HV part. HV used a slightly larger diameter cup, which appears a bit shallower and with a dimple to make startup easier. Once all the spirit almost burns out there is still a flame at the dimple giving you a couple more seconds to start pumping.

It looks very wide on the pictures, but that can of course be an illusion. I have 2 Primus 210 made by Høvik Verk and both primer cups are 5cm i diameter.

Runs bluer today, more like 210, 00 should. Don't know if inside the tank had some coating, looks like oatmeal had been in it, leaving some of the goo behind. It isn't going anywhere, so that is fine. Off I go back to my cave.
