    Hello All,
So what happened here. I stay away for awhile and no one puts in that we are having another meet this year ???

The meet will be held once again at Macedonia Brook State Park in Conneticut.

    http://www.stateparks.com/macedonia_brook.html

Here is a link to a map of the park. It is a pdf file that you can print out. We will be at the Hickory Camp Areas Sites 13 - 17

    http://www.ct.gov/dep/lib/dep/stateparks/maps/macedoniacg.pdf

The usual group of characters will be attending (with the exception of Nick) plus some new faces. Even if you can't stay over show up and visit. We always have plenty of food and always a spare tent and sleeping bag if you decide that we are all not completely weird and you want to stay !!

There is always fettling and stove testing going on at the NE meet, including cooking and baking with classic stoves. Bring along a stove you thought would never run again, or just stop in to see what's going on.

    See you there,
    DW

    Hello Again,
The weather prediction for the weekend is a chance of Thunderstorms on each day. That is a good weather report as Thunderstorms are iffy and they come and go. Rain is a constant. But, not to worry we have plenty of covered areas to stay dry.

We will be at Macedonia Brook State Park, a few miles west of Kent, Connecticut. We will all be on lower Hickory loop, on the left as you go north, sites 13 to 17.

Chuck Wilkins and I are arriving this afternoon, the rest of the group on Friday and Saturday. Come on over if you get the chance. Bring some stoves for a fettle or diagnosis.

    Hello All,
We had some Thunder showers that would arrive with a large Thunder clap and dump a large amount of Rain and then disappear. There were Tornado warnings throughout the weekend but, we never got anything too serious.

Like the rest of you I am awaiting pictures to be posted. I did not take any photos this year as I was busy cooking and doing some fettling. But, I heard many a shutter snapping so I know there are pictures and I am sure they will be posted shortly.

    Hi Stove Folk,

I just got a free moment to post a few photos from last weekends Northeast USA Stove Meet. It's hard to believe this is the 4th year we've been meeting. These meets are a bit magical!

Here is a photo of the Coleman Dakota 1 tent that was my home over the weekend. It may be called a Kraz 1 elsewhere. It was a bit cramped for my large frame, but it kept me nice and dry during several good thunderstorms. Easton aluminum poles and $65 at Dick's Sporting goods. (Check it out Randy)

Paul brought a couple of classic tents which I'm sure he'll post later. Iain went home with his Walrus Microswift (Coffin sized for me  ) and Paul is the new owner of the Dakota.(He liked the side entry) Now I'm looking for something a bit larger.

There was plenty of fettling going on under Doug and Mar's large shelter.

From left to right, Mark, Chuck, Doug and Paul.

With a donor fuel cap from a Optimus 00 we deflowed this French Virgin  (Selsius) Perfect blue flames. The cheap paint burned right off the pot support.

Doug and Paul looking over a Prentiss-Waber? Heavy!! Below is an old Coleman suitcase I cleaned up for one of Chuck's friends. (Donated by Paul)

As usual we had too much food. Here I'm frying Onions and Mushrooms to add into my Shepard's Pie. (Cooked in Mark's Milcor Oven.)

    More coming....

Doug gave Chuck a hand repairing the second burner on this Swiss Double Burner.

Up and running she provided water for our showers.

Doug and Paul discussing an RM Picnic stove. Doug spent some time putting a couple of Radius 43's into running condition. Better than a 111? :-k

The time passes so quickly when you're "Stovin"! Thank you Chuck, Paul, Iain, Mark, Doug and Mar. You guys are the best! It's time to start thinking about a Fall mini-meet.

    Cheers,

    Manny

A lot of great stoves on those tables! Thanks for sharing!
