    A second earlier Cookquik on its way I was lucky enough to locate the bean can tank model, early 60s this one pre Skope takeover.

    Very cool little alcohol stove. I really like this type of stove for simmering rice. It's difficult to do on a gasoline or kerosene stove. With these there's no pumping and a nice low flame can be maintained.

    After a minor fettle (replaced fuel hose and cleaned wick) needed the coffee.

    I,ve discovered a little more about these, robat Robinson &batchelor made electric heaters, roasting dishes and strangely car hubcaps that resembled wire wheels the company was sold and renamed scope manufacture of stoves ceased following bad publicity after a woman burned her caravan down using the wrong fuel in the stove
