Hey everyone, just curious what you think about why the flame on my 111 is completely blue on one side and yellow on the other. It’s obviously improper combustion or over rich fuel on the yellow side but why? It’s running kerosene. I’ve let it run for about an hour with no change
If you rotate the caps, does the flame 'move'? Are the holes all clear? The same size? Are there any obstructions to the 'air' flow? ... Might have to change your user name now.
@snwcmpr Both caps rotated make no difference. Yellow flame is in the same place. All holes appear to be clear. I don’t think air flow is obstructed but I’ll check all this again. And finally yes, you may refer to me as yellowflame111 as of this point
...or blue&yellowflame111. Is your jet (the hole in the nipple) obstructed or deformed? Try giving it a clean with 2000 grit sandpaper. Tony
@snwcmpr @Tony Press Hey guys thank you both for the replies. I have fixed the issue. Strangely, the jet somehow came loose and was not screwed tight at all. I noticed as soon as I began to take it out to inspect it. I placed it back in and screwed it tight and WALA. I reclaim the title of Blueflame111. Again thank you both for your prompt replies.
