    After reading so much about Primus 210’s and Optimus 00’s, I finally bit the bullet so to speak. I have lots of stoves, but this is the first of this sort... Pretty excited just now...

    @snwcmpr only tested, never used.

    Original tin and box to this stove. It’s from a collector who has had it “for many years”...

    Hi @Haggis congratulation on acquiring such a fine Optimus No.00.
    It would be useful if you could add some detailed photographs of your stove, tin, and packaging to a post in the Reference Gallery of CCS.

    It would be interesting to put a likely manufacturing date on you stove. Fortunately the late great Bryan Miller left many useful posts on the topic:

    Optimus No:00L - 1960's to 70's

    From the few photos you have already posted we can see that your stove has a red tin and that the top of the roarer burner is marked “Made in Sweden” plus Arabic lettering. Also of interest is the steel windshield.

    Please tell us if the base of the tank is marked simply “Made in Sweden”

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

    @kerophile About as detailed of photos as I can get with my unsteady hands and iPhone camera. Maybe these will help to put a relative date on the stove?

    I was going to say post '69, backed up by the prickers being Svea/Optimus/Primus. The instructions are unbranded & came with the Optimus oo, Primus 210 & Svea 121. They're based on the earlier Primus instructions.
