Optimus 11 flame is not correct

    I get a old Optimus 11
    Clean it up
    I fire it
    What’s wrong with my 11

    What did you do as maintenance?

    The flame ring is not fitted, for a start, and the vapour stream from the jet is pointing at an angle. You could clean up the face of the jet with a fine whetstone or needle file. That should straighten out the flame.

    And make sure the jet is properly tightend

    I changed nipple the flame regularly, but always weak.

    It seems possible that the burner needs to be de-coked.
    There are posts that describe how this can be done.
