    Hi there,

got my Optimus 111 International in the mail yesterday, i took some pictures with my older one.
The Optimus International has an O-Ring-Pump, I think i am going to convert it to leather in the next time. I cleaned the burner and inserted a new graphite packing, and it works fine now. You can see a different flame-colour and slightly a different pattern, what do you think is the cause for that? Maybe the jet size? the older one with the more yellow flame tends to underburn.
The case from the older one is from an 111, which is installed in my OHO-Case now.

The Tank of the international, there is a hexagonal NRV

the tank with a sticker on it, i cant read it, there is a penta-screw NRV, the pattern on the pump screw is different

the leather-pump (in comparison with the o-ring-pump, leather is much better for sure)

    and now preheating the babies:

and on fire (the 111 on the left tends to underburn, on the right is the international, you can see the different colour of the flame, they're both on kerosene)

Unfortunately I didn't took a picture of the burner itself, it looks like the international has a higher amount of copper in the brass-material, the other one is more golden. Maybe someone cleaned it too much with citric acid, i dont know.

    Thanks for reading!

Two nice stoves, LuKas. Congratulations
The 111 might be running a bit rich or the burner needs to be decarboned.

The copper colour is caused by dezincification but it should only be a surface colour after using citric acid. When I was diving..in the dim and distant.....we used to have brass fittings from wrecks that were weakened that way by decades underwater. However bronze did not suffer these problems.
