    I wanted an Optimus111T again to try alcohol as a fuel. Really only wanted the jet and restrictor tubes but getting a complete stove was a faster option. Would like a used one but this will do just fine until I find a good user.

    Now I have read many many post of the subject of using alcohol as fuel. Boil times get really long and heat output is lower I understand this. But I got access to almost endless supply of Denatured alcohol and time or rather speed is of no importance for me. I was going to use one of my 199’s for testing alcohol but they run so well on Kerosene that I didn’t want to mess with them. But I’m using the restrictor and jet to test one now. I’ll see if I can keep this one unfired. If you got any tips on alcohol as a fuel please let me know your experience with it.

    Now for pictures as always.

    A shame, to me, to see an unfired stove used to test. But, that is me, I have a few shelf queens.

    I use to think so but it was made to use and sold that way.if no one ever used a new product no one would ever know if it works or not.
    Don’t get me wrong. I got lots of never fired stuff. But after years of sitting in shelves and I’m not in the best of health I’ll probably never get to use any of it which is why I bought it.
    But I wrote I am using the jet and restrictor. Not the stove.

    @snwcmpr no worries at all!
    I don’t have any other111T stoves and am very tempted to fire this one up! But I’ll resist in hopes I’ll find a used one to play with. But prices are so high that unless someone wants to trade something for a 111T I’ll probably never get one.

    You think 111T is high, you should price an UNFIRED 111T.
    I would guess you can get 3 for one unfired one.

    Wow! Honestly if someone offered 3x 111T I couldnt refuse that offer! But I did not realize that. I either traded for most my stoves i have or bought it off the evilbay.
    I got a few others unfired and a Borde with seal somewhere?? Another Borde is unfiredbut hasn’t got the seal.
    I really hope to find a Sigg set that was meant for a Borde and a stainless Sigg Set.
    Hint!!! Hint!!! No just playing.

    Haha. Trust me I almost fueled it up then thought about it. Long and hard! Then threw everything back into the stove and back into the box. Right now it’s back in a shipping box all padded up and safe until next time I bring it out. Oh man!!! I just remembered I put the restrictor sand jet back in there too! Awesome!’ That’s how I roll. Haha. Always doing stupid things like that.

    As a great man here says. "Aren't stoves fascinating?"

    On one hand it is a stove.
    But, on the other hand it is a stove.

    I’m thinking I shouldn’t be posting unfired stuff anymore. Seems like I might be offending a few people. Trust me I’m not bragging at all. I got only very few stoves but I picked,waited and chose what I wanted. What needed as little work as possible. Sure I found some really cheap locally and can’t pass those up but I’m happy with what I got which is waaaaay less than others on here. I use most my stuff. Got my go 2 stoves and lanterns. GVe away lots too! But now I’m digging around my man cave to make space and just started looking in boxes to see what I got left and these popped up.
    So if I am offending anyone for any reason just let me know and I’ll reframe from posting any new stuff.
    I just like seeing people who use what they got. Myself included. Like a 199. I got a used one. Works like a champ for years! Similar to a 111T justmore compact and an aluminum case. That’s why I didn’t lightup the 111T. But had I no other silent burners trust me. This would be on fire right now.

    No worries. Nothing you said has offended me. Truly. I’m not talking about this thread either.
    You have always posted great comments on all my threads so keep doing so! Please by all means tell me you opinions. I’m a drum. Beat me. I can take it! Haha.

    It takes a lot to offend me. Nothing anyone posted has done that. I like people telling me what they think. So keep posting away!

    I like seeing unfired stuff - but you have 2 restrictor tubes which appear to be different
    which is the right one?

    @Rickybob here’s the instructions
    I’m thinking it’s the shorter tube with 2 holes instead of the one with 2 holes the 2 holes tube has bigger holes the shorter has 3 holes but smaller holes too and both are different distance from the end of the tube. I hope this helps??
