    This is a set of two, un-used, Optimus 181 F in a Swedish Armed Forces kit VÄRMESTÄLL fm/60 (Heating Rack Trial Model / 60). This is the rare variant with the military “Three Crowns” markings on the flat iron that supports the burner.

    More information on the VÄRMESTÄLL fm/60 and can be found on page 4 in "Liquid Fuelled stoves of the Swedish Armed Forces" link.

    @stejar

    That is a very nice stove setup.
    I'm very envious and wish I could find a setup like yours.
    Maybe we should see if we can get the moderators to add these 2 smiley faces to the list.

    Beautiful stoves! I see why the need for the grenade proof case to protect them. Do you see the self cleaning needles still in place?
    My Heinze Geniol came unused without its self cleaning needle so was wondering.

    Sorry to go OT.

    Heinze Geniol:
    Seems that I recall that was a difference between the German and Dutch versions, self-cleaning needle.

    And thanks @Wim

    Thank you Stefan,
    Ditto of John's compliment, adding the nickel is stunning and not sure I've ever seen outer caps shine like that. Excuse my stating the obvious here, fuel is kerosene / paraffin and burner is the 207.
    We do consider it being an unfired rare heating rack "trial", ok. It is interesting they tried two 1 burner 181s, not conducive to side by side use. In light of other options including a 182 (two *1 burners used side-by-side in 2 burner frame, *a problem w/1 has no effect on the 2nd).
    Also fwiw No.181, 182 are described as "NEW" in 1934 and had 207 burner with vented tank lid (iirc 207 is fairly new in 34?). Sorry, I'm always curious re approx. age, 1939 thru 1958 shows 181s, like yours, w/SRV lids and level indicators on tank.
    thx again omc

    @stejar

    You are very lucky!!! Thank you for showing us this stove. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:.

    @Etherman

    My two German Heinze Geniols do not have internal jet cleaning needles.

    Cheers

    Lovely set of stoves very well presented. I'm glad they found their way into the hands of a collector who will care for them.
