I am finally getting around to build up my own Optimus 199. It starts with an original bare burner head/tank: Bit by bit I acquired the key with chain, a pump, a replication x-pattern pot support and a burner wind shield. And a used Peak 1 aluminum cook set: Now, what height should bottom part of the Peak 1 cook set have? The exploded views of the 99 and 199 indicate that the sauce pan/lid are equal, part no. 2027 99: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/no-99-exploded-view.136/ 199: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/no-199-exploded-view.139/ I measured the height of both my Optimus 99: The sauce pan is 58mm The bottom pan is 30mm Overall height is 80mm The various catalogus state a total height of 80mm for the 99: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/1980s-early-optimus-catalogue.10747/ 100mm for the 199: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/1980s-optimus-catalogue.10733/ That would mean there is a 20mm difference in bottom pan height. Can anyone confirm the height of the bottom pan of a 199 is 50mm?
Hi @Brenneman. Perhaps this helps in your search for measurements: The Coleman case top is a direct swap for an Op.99 case top, with no cutting or shaping required. From this post: I do not have access to my Op.99 at the moment so cannot give a depth for the lower case. Best Regards, Kerophile.
