Oh my gosh, I just pulled this out of the mailbox.
I'm so excited! I thought I'd NEVER find one.
    Fluked across it on Kijiji.

She's not without character. A few dents from banging about in the PO's boat, and rust from being left in the boat uncovered all winter. :(

Not sure of the age. Maybe mid 70's.

I plan on doing a preliminary clean and oil, and use it for the summer on fishing trips. Strip, smooth and paint the case next winter.

I added fresh fuel, pumped it up, let it sit for a few minutes and watched for leaks, then seeing none I primed the right burner with alcohol and lit it. Roars like a champ. I'll light the left tonight and post a flame shot.

    I'm geeking out!

It was a little breezy tonight.
I think the left burner hasn't seen much use.

I just got a 1960's vintage 22b from the original owner. How can I tell what fuel it takes?
    Regards,
    Bill

Hi @Redbaronwcb , If it is a genuine Optimus 22b, the correct fuel is Coleman fuel or equivalent.
The b = Benzin = petroleum fraction similar to Coleman Fuel.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi Redbaronwcb. the 22B was meant for Coleman fuel.

    Great stove! Congratulations!
