I purchased this a few years ago but never posted it. I believe it's an Optimus 6 but it's not stamped like the others in the gallery. No pricker and no handle was included. The handle pictured is from a Svea 123R that I modified to fit the narrow slot on the pot.

With the exception of the stove's lack of stamping/engraving , it appears to be a #6. Does anyone have another explanation? Jerry

@shagratork Hi Trevor, Thanks for posting. Was there a price associated with the advert?
    Regards
    John

    Hi John

I should have used my words more carefully.
The No. 6 was advertised in a 1939 Optimus catalogue without prices, here.

However, in 1940 it was advertised here at a price of 10/6, i.e. 10 shillings and six pence when there were 20 shillings in a GBP (Great Britain Pound).
Note that it is a little under half the price of an Optimus No. 9 which is now very rare and sells for silly money!

    Thanks Trevor

I’ll be sure to look out for a number 9 then!

    Regards
