According to the Optimus 1939 catalogue this rounded tin was labeled "New". No heat shield on the tin, whereas it is found on previous and subsequent model 80's. Minimal graphics with Optimus globe only on flip down front and top of the tin. Graphics on the box show the same Optimus 96 with fixed feet illustrated in the 1939 catalogue. Judging from the reference gallery it would appear fewer of these 40's era 80's were produced likely coinciding with WWll events.
