hey guys, just won a bid on eBay making this my fourth Optimus stove. I do own one of the modern ones with green tank so I’m not interested in evaluating that. But Incase anyone is curious it does have a silent cap that I bought from amazon.

    Really curious about the r8.

Also I know this probably off subject but I am being offered a 111d which has green tank, cobra burner which has the fuel line in a loop, original black 111 hiker plus box with right side control. Guy is asking about 500$ is that worth if?

Finally I’m really interested in an excellent condition 111t and a 22b if anyone has them laying around. But they do have to be in excellent condition I’ve seen them even new.

    Sorry made another mistake,
It is 8r and 111 not 111b. I’m guessing 111b is blue and mine is a military greenish. From what I found it is the 111.

A 111B uses white gas/Coleman fuel/naptha based fuel. The B stands for Benzine which is the German term for this type of automotive fuel. The 8R also uses the same type of fuel. The 111C (Cobra?) is a multi-fuel stove I believe.

Probably ”Bensin” which is the Swedish word for Gasolin because Optimus was a Swedish brand back then rather than a German word.

Good price for the "D". Fraction what I paid.
