    Here’s my Optimus no11 silent burner

    Is this stove run in kerosene, gasoline or alcohol? Any help will be appreciated

    White gas or kerosene.
    But, I only use kerosene to be on the safe side.

    Very good recovery work. It uses a kerosene flame to be perfect, although it can also use gasoline, but considering it is a tin-welded tank, it is safer to use kerosene. thank you for your sharing

    Hi @anfeng you make an interesting observation about “soft”, lead-based solder being used in the manufacture of the Op.11 stove tank.

    I believe that in the production of the later Op.111 stove tanks Optimus used lead based solder for kerosene fuelled stove tanks, and hard , copper-based braze for the tanks of gasoline/Coleman Fuel stoves:

    Optimus 111 Pump Tube: soldered or brazed
