Is there anyone that have any pictures of a Optimus No 1 with "lionfeet" where the pot holders are removable :?: :?:

Here's some pictures of my lionfeet stove. I don't know how much of it that is original. :(

As you can see at the last picture there is no letter indicating which year it was produced.
Let me hear your thoughts about it. :p

Hi Locksmith, You have bought some nice stoves!

I believe that your Optimus 1 S dates from the 1930s. Unfortunately Optimus did not date-code their stoves so you have to rely on Catalogues to give an indication of the year of each model.

Here are some links to the same type of stove:

    Optimus 1S nickel-plated

    Optimus 1S burner

    Optimus 1S in Tin

I like the ornate "claw" feet and tank engraving on these stoves.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile

    Hello kerophile
So this is a stove that comes with a converting lamp kit? :?

Do you have the whole kit with lamp and all? :?:

Hi Johan, I only have the stoves. I would love to see the lamp and radiant heater versions in action.
It was my friend Exeter-Yak ( Doug) provided the links to the Optimus 1939 Catalogue on CCS. See:

    Good Luck with your fettling.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile

Some time between 1930 & 1934 the 1S feet were changed to the claw feet seen on yours from bun feet under the tank.

    Hello

Since I missed a leg I felt a strong feeling to make me one, so I did.
So now it looks like this, also made a complement with a top ring.

The really big fettle has to take place another time.

I saw this thread when looking for details on a No1 that I have in the shed waiting to come out to play.
I recently gained a nickel 1S with lion's feet and sockets for the pot stands, however, mine is in the radiant heater configuration. On initial cleaning and inspection it looks to only need the radiant dome that fits over the silent burner. Any suggestions on where to locate one?

    @KAB

eBay seller "Juliands" (UK) has them.

Thanks Tony, Juliands is only showing the large domes for putting on top of stoves, the one I am looking for sits on the burner head, worth sending him an email though. I'll add a picture of the heater shortly :)

Here is my Optimus 1S with early generation regulated silent burner. I made the removable legs and added the porcelain privet. The control knob is also not original. I also sometimes use the heater dome, which I added.
