Paraffin vapour from the jet.

    Hope this is posted in the right section, if not please move it.

    Thought this was vaguely interesting, perhaps someone has posting this before and if so apologies, but I though I would try to photograph what I noticed earlier whilst operating a stove.

    I have only seen this under certain lighting conditions. It was a bugger to photograph. You can just see the distortion showing the paraffin vapour from the jet.

    Anyone noticed this before?

    Yup! But only when the lighting and background are OK.

    Usually when looking from underside when burning outdoors in sunshine.
