Thanks @Pharael, particularly in relation to your own experience in restoring a stove shelter.

A PotY (?) accolade will surely take some explaining to non-stovie friends!

Among such strong contenders too … many thanks to all those, and to those who voted.

    John

John - you are a true legend in the stovie world in what you do and all the help you provide to everyone. What you did with your 1153 was way above my pay grade. You have earned a very well deserved PotY. Phil

Well done @presscall , great example of something brought back from the brink and put back into service!

A marvellous selection of interesting items entered, showing the true versatility of the paraffin pressure stove.

At this point John should be banned from any and all competitions on CCS. Just because he does outstanding work on repairs and restorations, finds some truly unusual and fascinating stoves, lanterns and related stuff and brings it back from the brink of extinction or because he is always willing to share his knowledge and skills with any who ask is no reason he should continue to win contests and reap praise from the rest of the community. And just because I didn't have an entry is no reason that I didn't win.

Keep at it my friend, always a joy to see your work!

Congratulations John. A very nice stove shelter artistically presented with the open door and steaming kettle and lid in the foreground. I've got to work on my photo composition. My entry didn't get a single vote...not even mine!
