I own (what I now know to be) a Parasene 2 pint stove, Does anybody know if the threads are interchangeable? Such as the Jets and the whole head? I'm looking to buy a silent burner head but I'm unsure if a Primus part would fit.

Hi Anton, they should fit if it is genuine Primus (or similar Swedish or British-made part) but be aware that the very cheap Indian-made burners can show some variability in thread sizes. Do not force a burner onto the riser if it feels tight when screwing on by hand..you will likely destroy both the riser and burner threads.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

@Anton, you could probably find a reasonably priced Primus No. 5 for less than the cost of trying to fit a silent.

Also as @kerophile rightly says there may be damage from previous owner(s). Careful checking will indicate this.

Parasene may have been a bit more forgiving with mechanical abuse being British engineered, there are many examples of stoves with the riser wrenched out of the fount and heavily soldered back in.
