    It came 'cleaned' (a bit roughly) and with a liberal spray of matt black stove paint on the tin and various bits, but essentially in good order, so I didn't polish it to within an inch of its life: it will be a user.

    It was an easy fettle: I checked the NRV; put on a new pump leather; replaced the washers (some Fettle Box; some of my own); gave it the once over with "Autosol" then car wax; rinsed the tank; checked the burner... and painted the tin with VHT Red and Clear Coat and baked at 94C.

    This one is going on my road trip next month.

    Cheers

    The Phoebus was bought here in Oz.

    The funnel is the same as the one below (I'll clean it and post photos - it fits a bigger stove but it was on hand and I was using it to filter the old kerosene:

    The black legs give the stove a certain sleekness to it. Maybe it's the brass that stands out more. I kinda like it.

    Nice user stove, if I ever saw one.

    @gieorgijewski

    Thanks for posting the tin photo here.

    I wish my tin looked like that when it arrived!

    Cheers
