Phoebus N° 5 - late 1930’s

    After finding this stove locally more than a year ago for parts (it was just €5,00) and forgetting about it, I unboxed it today.
    It was missing the inner and outer burner cap.
    I thought, lets see if it will run.

    After a ‘lean’ fettle, it ran instantly.

    Given the information from other posts on this forum on early Phoebus stoves, this one seems to be a pre-WW2 made stove but manufactured after 1936.
    It has ribbed feet, the text NUR FÜR PETROLEUM beneath the pressure release screw, the JMR trademark logo and MADE in AUSTRIA stamped in the tank.

    The stamp on the bottom of the tank is D11; I am not sure if this is a date stamp or something else.

    It still had its original cork pip in the non return valve!
