Heating water for this morning for my daily porridge,,, a vintage Bull Dog Brand billy pot seemed appropriate for the Optimus 00. I picked up this stove last July or August, and had never yet attempted to light it, and today when I did, there was a an apparent “fuel leak“ at the gasket just under the burner. The flame went away after the stove had run a few minutes. The seller said the stove had been freshly fettled just before I bought, and that had lit it once to make certain all was in order.

Seemed to do as it should, other than the small fuel “leak”,,, might have even been some sort of gasket sealer,,, I’ll watch it again in the morning, when I light it again... Might just need tightened a bit?
