I Lol'd with you reaction! I wish I had 10 of this! The problem is I don't have them yet I order them in the states and let some company consolidate my purchases and ship them to me in one "balikbayan" box full of stoves.

Nice one. Got one almost just like it -- it had be lit a time or two, and it was missing the plastic knobby on the control shaft. These are pretty big stoves for a self-pressuring unit but it worked great.

Do you plan to fire it up?

I picked one up at the local goodwill store for $3 and it has everything except the regulator knob and the instructions. I can fab a knob, but the instructions are a little harder. Does anyone have a copy I could see?
    Thanks

I think I remember that Precise is just an importer, and that these stoves are actually made somewhere in Asia. Anybody know for sure?

Yeah, I know it's a 725 clone, and I now see from actually looking at the photo ](*,)in the first post that the tank is stamped "Made in Taiwan".

Moderator: Should this post be moved from "America" to "Other Countries"?

    OLD THREAD alert.
There is more to the story of "Precise Phoenix" branded stoves, Arch touched on it above, it's been explained by Pinky and again by Kerophile here.

I will link to examples as an fyi along those lines: There are even 3 *related "Precise Phoenix Backpacker" named/branded stoves (*arrangements made by one [US] importer), the packaging shares the same color and type of graphic. YET stoves are completely different and made in different countries.
Above Phoebus 725 copy made in China (Taiwan)
    and
An 8R copy here. made by S. Korea's Shinabro
    and
A coil stove here made in China (Taiwan), the box is here.
    thx omc

    Thank you Ray,
Yes, perfect, that Precise Phoenix Backpacker should be in the list above w/the 725 (my bad). Given that, there is still more to the Precise Phoenix story. Here is link confirming what you know, that your 625 copy does share exact name, packaging and taiwanese origin with the 725 above. thx again omc

...and here she is link . (mods might insert this link into Itchy comment and delete this line?)

They also made a 2 burner Campster, if so that is my something new learned today.

Thank you Itchy , Well done, five! SURE now that you mention it, another "Precise Phoenix Backpacker" named/branded stoves (*arrangements made by one [US] importer), the [Campster] packaging shares the same color and type of graphic. YET stoves are completely different and made in different countries."

Yes, I hear ya Itchy and an especially good example to mention with it being made in Hungary, adding to China (Taiwan) and S. Korea, to name a few. thx omc

Hi, I have questions about the backpacker.
Do they work well? Nothing has been say about their performance.
I could see through all the links above that the 625 clone work with a silence cap. How about the backpacker, does anyone did try it with a silence cap? Burner look like similar between both clone ,625 and 725 or backpacker !!!
Here the one I may be interested if it works with a silence cap.
