Prentiss Wabers Model No. 10A with Oven. Found this one a while back. It's about the same size as the Model No. 9 but it has an oven. Its got a few issues to work through, but I wanted to post this so that it was on record. I've got several others with ovens on them but with different model numbers.

As for the date range, it is probably mid to late 1920s.

Nice Sam, I have the identical stove. What are the things hanging off the back? I have those also.

    Dave,

I was trying to figure out if there was a rack. None of the advertisements I have show a rack that hangs up high in the oven, only something like a diffuser that sits on the regular stove grate. It looks like it has clips for a grate on the ends in the middle of the wall, but nothing to hold the grate in the middle back wall. So, I'm not sure it came with a grate. I have some other stove ovens from Prentiss Wabers that may have a rack but we'll see when I post those.

Kevin, how's it going buddy? The two things off the back hold the lid up when the oven/lid is down. It also keeps the oven closed when the oven is all folded up. Closing the lid with the oven folded up with those legs holds it all together and keeps it from flopping around.

The fettle to this one will be along later.

I have mine in a working state. I need to fashion the little handle for the second burner.

    Hi Sam

I love this post and your other recent posts on Prentiss Wabers stoves.

It is a shame that we have so little published literature on them here at CCS.

I suggest this stove is from about 1930 - 1932.

Below is an advert for a No. 10 from 1929.

Nice advert Trevor! The dates you suggest are most likely correct.

    Thanks,
