I'm thinking of taking my home brewing up a notch and going back to all-grain, for which I need to boil 23 litres or more of wort. My best candidate for heat output would be my Primus No.5 roarer. I've read some discussion on here and a few tables of heat output in kw but not sure where the 5 would fit. Would it be closer to the 2.7kw end or higher?

You could go a notch higher on output with a Primus No.4140 silent burner, as fitted to a Primus No.10.

A No.10 with the 4140 burner attached (can’t see if it has the caps or not though) is currently up for auction on ebay UK.

Thanks both - looks like I'd need to partner the 5 & my Radius 5S then or fit another roarer to the Radius 5S for some serious horsepower :). There should be room under the large pot required for two two-pinters.

Now, if I could find a complete 4-burner furnace...
