    Hi Folks,
    Wonderful site you have here.
I've been visiting for long a while and thought I should bring a new toy to the party.
New to me a few weeks ago is a serviceable Primus Kero collapsible stove.
    Bunch of pics, enjoy.

    Glen

    Welcome, Glen,

Thanks for the nice photo presentation of this neat stove. You did a superb job of cleaning and polishing it. It looks free of any dents and other blemishes. Where's the flame shot?

    Dear Glen,
Very, very nice job on a beautiful stove. Good to see another member from the neighborhood (I live near Bellingham, WA).

    Cheers,

    Hi Guys,
thank you for the warm welcome and for enjoying the stove.
So it's snowing out there today and she's a bit breezy, but starts well enough to get some more pictures.
Had the burner soaking in some hot water and lime juice with detergent this afternoon, but without the tool yet to pull the jet she's still a bit grumpy. She's holding pressure way better since she came out on a Land Rover 4X4 club trip last weekend. Some good shaking and getting the seals wet after maybe 40 years in a tin helped.
    So on with the 1298789860-1_Cook_off_after_cleaning.JPG 1298789878-2_Closing_the_vent_a_tad_too_soon.JPG 1298789887-3_sweating_the_pot_without_Top_steel_ring_6min_x_1L_water_to_boil.JPG 1298789860-1_Cook_off_after_cleaning.JPG 1298789878-2_Closing_the_vent_a_tad_too_soon.JPG 1298789887-3_sweating_the_pot_without_Top_steel_ring_6min_x_1L_water_to_boil.JPG 1298789887-3_sweating_the_pot_without_Top_steel_ring_6min_x_1L_water_to_boil.JPG 1298789887-3_sweating_the_pot_without_Top_steel_ring_6min_x_1L_water_to_boil.JPG 1298789899-4_sweating_the_pot_with_the_Top_steel_ring_5_min_x_1L_water_to_boil.JPG 1298789905-5_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298789911-6_Flame_caught__time_to_pump.....JPG 1298789917-7_And_we__re_off_to_the_races.JPG 1298789923-8_Cherry_Glow.JPG 1298789929-9_Cherry_Glow.JPG 1298789935-10_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298790138-11_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298790145-12_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298790155-13_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298790162-14_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298790168-15_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298790179-16_Evening_flame_shots.JPG 1298790186-17_Flame_height.JPG 1298790193-18_Flame_height.JPG show...

I've noticed that the flame pulls to one side more, but this could just have to do with the burner ring being slightly deformed. I'm not going to try reshaping it for now since there are already a few small cracks it it. But will be keeping a eye out for a spare along with a wind shield and top plug to fit the burner stem hole.
It could also be a bit of grunge still in there deflecting the jet pattern.

Hi Glen, welcome! Very nice N°51, looks gorgeous. It looks as though the burner might do with a good clean inside to remove carbon build-up and also your jet needs a good clean or maybe even a replacement thereof. But hey, no worries, she still performs great so no real hurry, it'll only make her perform even better :D/ than she does now. Thanks for posting some very nice photo's of your stove!

    Regards,

    Wim
