This is a very early model of a Primus 2-burner range. There is no dating code and it si showned in a Condrup catalogue from the beginning of the 1900:s.
Unfortunately are the top rings missing but all other parts are original.
Note the special fixtures for the regulator shaft.
And the Primus stamping on the top of the pump knob.
It is all plain steel and was of course corroded when I got it. But after some days is acid and then brushed with pure zink paste, it almost looks like new again.

Very nice Bo. The gripping ring on the front of the tank is unusual.

Good looking stove, that thumb ring looks very useful. Will you be looking for a set of pot support rings, maybe post the diameter, you never know what others have under the bench waiting for the right stove :o

Please explain more about the acid bath and brushing with zinc paste, the finish is a good alternative to painting.

    cheers Sooty

Already done, here is the link: Link

I was not right in that announcement, it is not zink, it is nickel. But I'll start a new topic in the fettling forum and try to explain.

Thanks for the tip on removing the rust and preserving the metal, I really like the finish, it looks really good.

    Hey Bo,

I couldn't respond to your pot ring post, but you may be able to find a compatible pair from a gas grill. They are often of cast iron, round shape of various diameters, styles etc. Check your local scrap yard, appliance repair shop or ebay for them.
