Hello A few days ago I received a Primus 527 for a small money from Iihbäi. It was in a quite good condition but somebody painted it with gray colour. I was able to remove the colour with acetone. After cleaning, polishing and adding the burnercups (I just had cups from Prabath not from Primus) it`s burning well. The upper part of the stove isn`t finish jet but I`m shure I will not need it in my gardencabin. The tank is labeled AH what means 1943, reffered to the primus-dating-chart. Endy
Very well done Endy!!! How well does it burn, can you post some photo's of both burners working? Regards, Wim
Hi Endy, nice stove, I have about the same at my desk right now. That one is howewer a very bit more rusty. Did you use silver colour, on your stove afterwards? It does really look good. Best Regards Joakim
I used silver paint for ovens. It`s a spray. As i read in the reference library normaly it`s galvanized. Nickel as it looks like. It seems to be a difference to the "home-version" of this stove (523) that is not galvanized as far as I know. Regards: Endy
Hello endy, I just wanted to say your stove is very nice and the results of your fettle are amazing! Excellent job!
What a very nice stove -excellent restoration , but I must have missed the pics of it running well ??
Thanks to all!!! Wanted to make photos yesterday during preparing the dinner. But the weather was so fine that we decided to use the muurikka instead. but as soon as possible I will make some photos of the stove in action. Regards: Endy
Hi Endy, the next question must be; "What's a muurikka"? More photo's for you to take! 8) Regards, Wim
Oh sorry !!! A muurikka is an iron pan with 3 legs you can put on a fire. I heard they use it often in Finland. I don`t have a picture on thic computer, but a link: http://www.grillsportverein.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18790 Regards: Endy
Hello again The fotos from the muurikka are in the Action-Gallery now. The first part of the photos is done! muurikka photos Regards: Endy
Here they are!!! There was to much light so it`s difficult to see the flame. Just made a photo of the right flame but I swear the left looked the same, just mirror inverted. Regards: Endy
Water sits in the part where the cup sits on, coffee in the thingy with the black handle. Water gets hot, starts to steam, and the steam pushes the hot water up through the tube and through the coffee holder into the cup. The entrance of the tube sits very near the bottom of the tank.(else you'd only get steam going up) Et voilà, un bon caffee! Simple come dire "bonjour" Regards, Wim
Thanks Wim, but I should have said, "Waht make is the coffee maker, where can you buy it, where from, and can you post some photos?"
