    Thanks to the folks who answered my previous question regarding the Primus 71. I've purchased a 1950 vintage stove only as well as a tin carrying case/pot stand and am awaiting delivery on both. I believe that I can date the tin by the number on the lid, but can't find the resource for that so come here humbly with hat in hand.....

    Here's the tin:

    Is there a resource for dating these that I can bookmark as I've done the fount codes?

    Thanks;

    OK, I get it now. I was under the impression that the date codes were on the stoves only and there would be a separate system for the tins.

    Thanks!

    I think the only datestamped tins are those considered as a part of the stove.
