Here's my London furnace combo that I have had for a while. Stu was kind enough to provide his services in getting the stove up and running again, when the NRV proved impossible to remove from the tank. The furnace frame itself, I have done no more than removing loose rust before polishing it with black shoe polish which has given it the shine that you see in the pictures. The lead pot I believe may be original as it has the locating lugs for it to sit on the stand. Today I added to the set up with a nice casting mould for making lead plum bobs. It came with one ready made but there should be a piece of brass rod through the centre before casting, that would be used to hang it from once it's been cast.

Hi Matt the London furnace looks great, I would have used zebra black lead what is used to shine iron ranges.
But the shoe polish has really given the iron frame a beautiful sheen and patina

Thanks chaps, and thanks to Ross for placing it in the gallery, it's better off here I think. I'll be having a go at making some lead plum bobs, I doubt I'll actually use this set up though as it would need polishing again afterwards but we'll see. I just need to find some space to display it now. :-k :-k :-k
