There were two prickers without needles, so I refurbished one with some 0.19mm guitar string.

    Tony,
What is the bend for in the handle?
Finding old ones is so good.

    Cheers

Hi @Robert Bruce I reckon the kink in the handle is to help you pick an otherwise flat object up from a work bench or flat surface.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Well @kerophile that sounds like a answer I will run with. They are a pain to pick up if you put them down with the writing the correct way up, the other way up all's good.

    Cheers

The prickers with Hurlock stoves have a bend like that. I thought it was so they could be crammed into the spares tin. The tension does keep them from falling out.
