    Hello santiagochristophersen.
I don't know how old your No.1 is but it is an earlier one I believe. There are no feet "bulbs" at the base of the legs like the later pre 1911 ones had.
You will probally find that the pump cup assembly and stroke seal is of the earlier type as well.
Is there a number stamped elsewhere on the bottom of the fuel tank? I am interested to know if there is one.
The cast iron pot trivot markings are also of interest to me.

The silent burner is a later conversion as your stove would have come with a roarer burner originally.
A good score and well worth keeping.
It would be great to see some flame shots when you have it going.
    Cheers, John

Fascinating to have that historical link to Amundsen!

Just had chance for a quick look. Definitely post 1895 as 1896 was the year the Primus 'stove' logo appeared on the tanks.

So, somewhere between 1896 and 1911 ties it down to a fifteen year likely period of production.

Researching this site, I had noticed the earlier pre 1911 Primus stoves did not have the script stamped on the fuel tank side under the fuel filler hole, unlike the later pre 1911 versions. Your stove is dated no later than the date when the script was first used - whenever that was. Does anyone know when the script was first introduced?

    Cheers, John

Finally I found a new original roarer burner for this stove so I decided to change it

The cast iron top ring is by Optimus, and was made up through the 1920s. It is identifiable by the tapered bars on the plate and also by the "MADE IN SWEDEN" engraving underneath.
