Love the combination of stove, kettle, and basket. You must wonder on who and when and where! What stories it could tell. Replacement tins would complete the set but the "as found" set in itself is a jewel.
@MartyJ Yes, there may be a lot of stories in this basket, and I think I should keep the story going!
Hi anfeng what a beautiful example, the quality on these older versions is pure class. Every part of these early 210's is beautifully stamped, you have a fantastic combination here, a superb stove and the kettle is outstanding, the patina is fantastic it could not look better, i usually like to see brass and copper polished, but in this case if it was mine i would not dream of polishing this set. Congratulations anfeng on a superb score
@mr optimus Hello mr optimus 101 years to make it a little bit of oxidation into the present look, and get off the oxide only need an afternoon time. You are right, every part of the early primus stove is very charming. Treat this early version of the stove my thoughts like you, keep it the original look.
The instructions. I had been curled up in the windshield, and the paper had become so fragile that I did not force it to be deposited, and I found a small pot to store it.
Hi @anfeng Lovely stove outfit. I believe that these particular outfits were made for the British and Colonies market. This later model shows the shape of fuel and alcohol cans. 1924 PRIMUS 210 OUTFIT. 1924 Primus No. 210 Compact Outfit Best Regards, Kerophile.
@anfeng an interesting idea to use an air tight container for the paperwork. For longer term preservation it may be worthwhile contacting a local library or public records office who, in the UK at least, have conservators who work with old paperwork as their jobs. They may be helpful with suggestions as any moisture in an airtight container may not be in the papers best interest.
After three years of searching, I found a fuel tank. It still lacks a triangular alcohol can, and I will continue to look for it.
