Primus No.4 1919 'I'

    A nice looking example of the low-cup 'auto-lighting' version of the Primus No.4. More interesting are two other features. First is the date, 1919 (code 'I'), when Primus production and exports to Britain were both struggling to resume in the immediate aftermath of WW1. Second is the retailer's brass cartouche on the tank side, Wilson Engineering of Holborn; not a plate I have seen before:
