This is my current project today. My Primus No.51 with a date stamp of AB/32. From what I read it should be a 1937 date according to the "AB" but I do not know what the "32" is for. I am sure that someone will correct me shortly if I am wrong. It currently is using the recently acquired aftermarket Liberty burner due to the burner that came with it having some issues that I am trying to solve. I have included pictures of both burners just for reference.
Hi @Cookie , nobody knows what the "32" is for! Nice 51, Discus stoves are amongst the most aesthetic ones! Best regards, Wim
Hi Cookie, AB 32 meaning. The letters are the year code. The numbers a Primus production code. https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/screw-press-no-6.20844/ Best Regards, Kerophule
Hi Cookie, I don’t see you as being wrong. We all started from somewhere in our interest of stoves..... Here is a link to a post about a Primus No.54, the silent sister of the Pr. No.51 that you have. It gives some background to these particular models. Primus No:54 - 1938 Best Regards, Kerophile.
