These are the main versions used on the 70, then 71
The caps of the No. 70 and early No. 71 are much smaller, than all the later.
The main risk without a safety release device results from over-filling (more than 3/4 full). The thermic expansion of the liquid fuel is very remarkable and can easily destroy the tank. The same reason, why reserve-canisters for car-fuel must never be filled to the top. The fount of the stove gets very hot!
