This is a 1910 Pyro Patent kerosene stove dated by the instructions that came with it (see library). The stove is well marked and the pan ring has raised pot supports. The stove is filled by removing the pump/NRV assembly. It is designed to be self lighting and can be used with or without the pump. There is a cap stored on the bottom of the tank that can be used when the pump is not. The flame shot is what the self lighting flame looks like just after the meths burnout without pumping The flame is extinguished by opening the bleeder valve using the wooden knob that extends through one of the pot supports. When opened the vapors in the tank are released into the empty spirit cup and directed toward the flame where they're supposed to burn without creating an odor. This is the flame after about 20 pumps.
