Hi here are some photos of a Radius No.1C stove which I acquired from Washington State, USA in 2004. I believe the burner is later than the stove, as the roarer burner which came with the stove had a pin-hole leak on its upper surface.

The Radius 1C is a conventional 2-pint classic brass-tank stove, with fixed legs and a roarer burner. It is paraffin-fuelled:

This stove has the early form of the famous Radius "Shooting Star" logo, and the "butterfly-style" filler cap is also a feature of early classic stoves.

The stove is well-made and the tank markings are very crisp. I do like Radius stoves!

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi I should have said that the pan-holder is an un-marked generic, which came with the stove.

I could find no mention of the Radius 1C model in neither the 1932, nor the 1950s Radius Catalogues shown on this Site. Both the Radius 1 and 1S are given, but there is no mention of a Radius 1C.

    Best Regards,
    Kerphile.

Hi, here are a couple of photographs of the markings on the top of the roarer burner, which was fitted to this stove when I first received it.
The burner has a pin-hole leak which I have yet to try to repair:

This burner has Cyrillic text as well as Swedish/English and Arabic. I believe it is an earlier burner than the one currently fitted to this No.1C stove.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi Den, first I will pressurise the burner to remind myself where the hole was/is. I will than thoroughly clean the area, and as Rick suggests use either silver-solder or a silbraze-type, higher M.Pt. braze.
I am conscious that the burner itself is of brazed construction and if I am not careful I could end up with melting other joints unintentionally.

I have many friends who are better at brazing than I am so I go and bother one of them!

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile

Hi, the tank and fittings of this stove are marked AB RADIUS. This mark was used up to around 1938/1940. Later stoves were marked "Radius Ltd". This stove is likely pre-1938.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

The stove is from the 1920s. The burner is a 1930s 1/37. It would have had a roarer burner or a silent UFO burner.

1C in 1920 have similar description as the 1 S:or in 1925 so it is just the first name Radius used for their version of the 1S.
