This must be one of Europes most common pressure stoves . I have several . However I came across this A/B Radius marked example complete with box, spirit bottle, spanner, windshield, original flame spreader , instructions and a pricker .

The stove as found . The picture on the left is the sellers picture . I bought it when I saw the spirit bottle.

After cleaning , usual fitting of new pump leather, burner washer. The wind shield was very rusty . I removed the rust and then turned the metal black by heating and quenching in oil.

First firing and the brew test was passed with flying colours

These stoves are ten-a-penny but it is a fantastic design both aesthetically and functionally

@A A C Your photo of it originally Alastair makes the tank look like it’s been on the sea bed for years. Great work to get it to its present state.

You describe the Radius No.21 as ubiquitous over here but I’ll bet it’s a rare offering in some parts of the States, however. I was late to the party in getting one, but it’s a firm favourite. Stejar’s study of the marque is a good read.

    Thank you John .
I have maybe five of these in various conditions. One if the stoves I’ve had for over 30 years is a Radius No.21 that had been owned by my wife’s Grandfather. The Høvik Verk version , the No.210 is very common here as well . Great wee stoves . Was very pleased when I found the instruction manual wrapped in a piece of heavily stained greaseproof paper in the bottom of the tin .
I will read the study with great interest . Cheers Alastair

An excellent find in such a complete state. And the spirit tin isn't rusted out, congratulations Alastair.:thumbup::thumbup:
