I have just got hold of this Radius No. 3.

As can be seen it is in never used condition.

Unfortunately it was without the burner cap.

The cleaning needle is still attached to the stove.

This model of stove has a special Radius burner with a smaller inner cap and small outer cap.
The inner cap has a grooved rim where the inner cap should be placed in.

I do not know when this stove was manufactured but it is in the Radius catalogue 30 but not in the catalogue 56.

I assume it must have been made between the 30's and 50's.

In the last photo I have put on a normal Radius outer cap to make a better appearance.

If someone might have a spare outer cap for this stove please contact me.

Nice stove you've got there cmb56!

Could the correct burner cap be the one shown in this post ?

It look like the right burner cap.

If it is 35mm (1 3/8") in diameter, it should be for the Radius No. 3 stove.

The stove has now the right burner cap thanks to our Norvegian friend, Aktopp.

I have taken some new photos of the stove with the original burner cap installed.

Extract from a 1932 Radius catalogue.

Hi @cmb56 Your Radius No3 appears to be marked "Radius" which suggests pre-WW2 manufacture. Later models from around 1939/early 1940s were marked "Radius Ltd."

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

    @kerophile
Thanks, I have realized that cince then when I wrote this topic.
It is over 9 years cince I got that stove and it is in the same unused condition as then and it will be so as long as I am alive.

It seems to be a quite rare varity of a stove so I do not feel I need to make the history of stoves one lesser in new condition. If it has survived for about 80-85 years in this condition without being lit who am I to destroy that history.

Hi there cmb56. By any chance would you be willing to sell this Radius No. 3? I am really interested in it. I am located in South Korea.

    Warm Regards,
    Daniel
