I recently restored this radius no 42 camping stove.
It was built somewhere between 1932 and 1938
It's complete exempt the manual witch unfortunently is missing
So my question is if someone in this thread might be able to share a foto or pdf of the original manual from that age.

My intentions are to make a copy of the manual that i can have with my stove!

    Best regards Albin 20201016_201257.jpg 20201016_201257.jpg 20201016_201207.jpg

Yeah i noticed that, but non of them match my stove in age.
Maybe i'm just picky, but i thought i could ask if any one had a better match.

Welcome Albin, You've come to the right place but re another version of No.42 instructions, I have nothing more to add to what is in the CCS reference section.
    --------------
Production years of the No.42 have not been easy to figure.
Your 42 with no SRV is 1932 -to- 38 you estimate and you reckon that is the original tin, good.
Would narrowing the production year range of yours be of interest?
If so, we will like to see the text on the top and side of your 42. My thanks either way.

Yes it would be great to get a more narrow date on my stove. But I dont have a Photo at hand for the moment, i can take one tomorow, the text on the top reads as follows: "radius no 42, made in sweden" the text on the side i can get later

    Hi @OMC,

What do you mean by "SRV"?
Is there a reliable way to date, even approximately, a Radius 42 (tin painting, etc)? I own one that is pretty similar to Albin's 42, so I wondered how old it could be...

    Regards,

    Bastien

    Bastien,
    SRV: safety release valve

Dating of the 42 remains a work in progress.
    Yours is similar to Albin's...

You can go to this thread, in that thread notice I provided 5 links to 5 Radius 42 examples.
The details for ONE of the 5 links there "should" be a match to yours. That is as far as I've gotten with that model sequence / dating.

    Hi @OMC ,

Thanks for your answer and for the link, which is very interesting. I will soon (maybe next weekend) post some pictures of my 42, even with other models (different tins). I might have one that could be an early version...

    Stay tuned :content:
