Now here stop posting stove porn
Nice 42 Ross, and quite early with the lid positioned at the bottom part of the tank.
And also with the retainers for the lamp- and torch attachment respectively in the lid.
Can't but love to see all those pictures saying "Made in Sweden"
I have an identical 42 (see here), with the same tank structure, and same holders in the tin lid. What are those lamp and torch you mention? Can you give an approximate date range to "quite early"?
I also has the same setup; tank lid at the bottom and retainers for the accesories. Just hasn't posted it here. Guess I have to do it now
The lamp attachment I mentioned can be seen here for one (you participated yourself in that topic). I also think it pop up in some other post in here...
The torch is to be seen somewhere in the catalogues section. I don't have the time to look it up myself, but you can easily find it somewhere in the older Radius stuff (the light attachement are in the same catalogue).
I guess somewhere around the thirties or earlier, but aren't sure since Radius actually aren't my cup of tea.
This superb little brochure suggests they were around in the thirties.
I've always thought that the 4 pages would look very good on 4 nice white mugs.
You could put my name down for a set of those mugs!
That brochure shows what I belief to be an earlier variant.
I have one like that, it is a frequent traveller and user but with an Army No.7 case to save the original.
What is the latest date it can be with a base filler cap?
I'd like to know too. The base cap came in some time after 1932 & was gone sometime in the 1950's.
It's shown in a 1939 catalogue (not on site yet) but not in the 1932 or 1950's catalogue (on CCS).
I think this was the 2nd to last style of tin but that it held more than one variant of 42 in it's life-span.
