This started as a query in the Stove Forum, what products did the application number refer to? Now that answers have been forthcoming (see here) it will be easier to find them for reference here in Paraffinalia.

The application numbers it seems refer to various Radius blowlamps, starting with model number 70 and with the '87' being the Radius parts code for prickers (for full explanations see the link above).

Curiously the prickers appeared to be identical to those in a standard stove pack, which is numbered '0/87'. The lower pricker in the photo below is from a '0/87' pack:

Only then, in doing the photos for this post, did I notice a weak over-stamp on the '70/87' pack that says "and for nipples 0/28 V O" - (you really need to go back up to click on the main photo above to blow it up to a size to see this clearly!) - so the prickers don't just appear identical they are identical; the exact same prickers but separately packaged for 2 different applications:doh:

Specific gallery entries for 0/87 and 100/87 Radius pricker packs can be found by following these 2 links.

Hi @Tony Press , i read the same numbers as you.
However this is Ian’s post and his prickers, not mine.

It would be useful if @igh371 could measure and record the pricker wire diameter of these prickers.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

@Tony Press yes those are the numbers on the packet:lol: And thanks to Christer we now know that these are Radius blowlamp numbers. Quite a collaborative effort for such an innocuous item!
Unfortunately I don't have a micrometer to measure the wires precisely but they do seem to be the same as my 0.32mm drills (@kerophile).

I have just received one of these 70/87 pricker that @igh371 sent me.
Using a digital caliper the cleaning wire diameter measures at 0.31mm , so intended for a 0.32mm diameter jet aperture.
Ian, thank for the gift of the pricker,

    Best Regards
    Kerophile,
