There has been some discussions about the Record stove, Optimus and C.G. Trässman lately, and I had a feeling that I had an old Record stove somewhere down at the bottom of the pile.
So tonight I managed to dig it out.
It's in excellent, well used and worn condition, including crappy and excessive soldering here and there to keep it alive.
Just as we want them.

And here's what the NRV solution look like:

Given the recent Record stove discussions, it’s good to see a “new” example.

    That’s a fine relict, Christer.

    Cheers

    Thanks Tony!

Yes, I thought I'd better show it.
Even though crappy in its appearance, it might reveal some detail that might be useful when comparing the other few of its kind posted.

The spirit cup shape/design is so characteristic of an early stove.

    Indeed.
I have always thought that the slimmer spirit cups of the earlier ones look better. Much more aesthetic.
But the later, bulkier kind is of course much more efficient and serves the purpose better.

Wow @Christer Carlsson !! So great to see this one, and thanks for posting detailed photos of the NRV solution. Lucky you to own a Record! Considering all the repair soldering it seems to have seen, this must have been a piece that was really put to use. Great unit :thumbup:
